We were asked to write a set of devotions, and I got two of them. I’ll share them, one at a time.
This first set is from Colossians 3:12-17; each day is one verse.
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3 begins by reminding us that we have “… been raised with Christ,” and to “Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is…” So this first part of Colossians is about changing our thinking, and this set of devotions runs with that same idea. For as we think, we act. If we begin to think about the positive things that have now come into our lives, we begin to change our outlook.
God changed our hearts; it’s up to us to change our minds.
Lord, help me to live your NOW, and not in the way I was before.
